山本 隆博｜TAKAHIRO YAMAMOTO
was born in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture in 1967, he apprenticed himself to his father, Hideaki Yamamoto, at the age of 18 and went out on his own in 1992. Using the classical techniques of lacquer craft, Yamamoto creates unique contemporary expressions with practical, rounded, sharp, and sophisticated lacquering techniques. His work, which is both delicate and sturdy, has earned him a high reputation among many chefs and the curious, and in recent years he has also boldly taken on the challenge of creating innovative painted expressions, which has attracted many overseas fans.
