Out only from the slight and simple crossing of the warp and the weft thread humankind has woven the most beautiful fabrics. Flowers, birds, trees, abstract patterns. We look at them and can feel the devotion, the patience and the deep joy of life, which are woven into this fabrics.

In our next exhibition we show 100 to 250 years old textiles, which had been collected over years in Indonesia. Some came from India to Indonesia, some were produced on one of the many Indonesian islands. There will be pieces of every size : large pieces for collectors, for use as wall hanging or just to enjoy. And smaller `cut down’ fabrics, which Japanese mainly use to make “shifuku” wrappings for precious and loved utensils. If you have the time: please visit us and listen to the inspirations, these old fabrics will tell you.
