A garment that illuminates.
Within its folds, the ancient untouched self awakens.
The brighter and livelier the colors and materials,
the purer the spirit within.
Mirroring one’s attitude to life.
A garment that floats.
Guided without hesitation,
the sewing machine traces its path to completion,
joining pieces great and small into a single canvas.
The stitches carry strength to every corner,
allowing the garment to breathe with the wind.
“The fabric itself already knows what form it wishes to take.
I am merely its assistant,” says CUE-chan.
Today we seldom reflect on the hardships of spinning yarn from plants or animals,
nor on the long patience of weaving warp and weft into cloth.
The quiet miracle of a woven fabric is often lost in the noise of daily life.
CUE-chan perceives this miracle, cherishing each fabric without distinction.
Everyone who wears his robes senses this gentleness.

Indian, Japanese, or Western fabrics,
silk, cotton, polyester, tulle, or organdy,
leopard-print, checked, or mud-dyed,
eloquent fabrics, silent fabrics, many fabrics.
CUE-chan races through them all with his sewing machine.
Freed from their former shape and design,
they shine with unimaginable new light.
