"I can look at every vessel like a human body: the curve of the chest, the sweep of the lip, the line of the back, how it stands on its feet, how it occupies and holds space. A vase or a bowl is a sculpture.

Good forms have nothing to do with design. They are a result of working with the material, a result of the building up, turning and forming the clay. Only when a vessel has been formed from the inside out can it take on a volume that holds and carries the form.

With the tableware that we create in our workshop we want to give form to every day life. We want to make things that unobtrusively accompany people and serve them in there daily life."
